I knew Vittorio through a woman who used to sing with him in Heidelberg. It was Vittorio who helped me to get an audition for Phantom of the Opera. The theater company chose to put me in another production they were doing called Freudiana. While I was living in Vienna, Vittorio took me around the city and began to show me all the wonders the city held. He would invite me to his home to listen to opera recordings and tell me stories. He became a wonderful friend and I'm sorry he is no longer with us. His art and spirit will be missed.

Hi Vittorio!

I was just transferring my old videos onto my computer and I ran across several of you in the kitchen cooking up a wonderful meal. How are you? I am now full time in the Metropolitan Opera Chorus, happily married with two young boys. I started a group on Facebook for Das Phantom der Oper that you might want to join. I am listed there as Timothy Breese Miller.

All the best to you!

Tim

Today, I found a card sent to me years ago from Vienna. It was from a new friend I had met in Florida while staying on the beach back in the early 1990's. His name was Vittorio Giarramussco - and he charmed my southern socks off!

Oh how my heart is sadened by the loss of a someone so kind and intelligent, so witty and careing. Peace to you my friend, and I hope we will someday meet again on a sunset lit beach, walk, and share the passion for music we harbor in our souls -

I have heard many fun stories about you. I got to see you sing a few times when I was younger. I'm glad this website is up and running. I wish we could spent some time together when I got older. Joey W.

I fell in shock, when I, out of curiosity, typed Vittorio's name in Google and received his homepage. I was a fellow singer in Heidelberg and we were good friends, together a lot with James Pearson during our time in Heidelberg. I have thought often of Vittorio, hearing of his success in Vienna, etc.

I wish all those who loved and still love him, my sympathy and warm feelings for a wonderful person and tenor (he showed me how to sing a high "d"), who has gone much to soon.

Cousin,
I know in those big brown eyes your looking down at all of us. If I only knew that your time would have been so short, way too short, I would have made an attempt to come and hear you sing, and see you always sparking eyes. I'll always have the memory of the Birthday all our parents gave to our Grandmother, and how you surprised her with a song. I think, I know we were all in tears. I miss you cousin, so does the rest of the family. Your in my prays everynight for always. Love your baby cousin, Lois
